THIS IS MY FATHERS WORLD

By C. Warren Andreasen

1- CREATOR OF THE WORLD – and us

Gen 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Gen 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Gen 2:1

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made

that has been made.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 10:30 I and the Father are one. Point – Everything we have and everything we are is from, and belongs to, the father. The Son and the Father are one.

2- DUTIES OF A FATHER

(Webster) Father – to take responsibility for

Love – (John 3:16) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, thatwhoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Discipline – (Hebrews 12:6)

The Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he

accepts as his son.

A loving father wants what is best for his child and will always do what is best for the child. A loving father “will bring up a child in the way he should go."

3- HE KNOWS US

Psalms 139: 1-16

You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my

ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.

You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

4- DO NOT WORRY – PROMISE TO PROVIDE

Matthew 16: 29-31

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

1Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Philppians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

5- OBEDIENCE AS A CHILD – way to JOY

Matthew 18:3

"Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." John 15:9

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

1 Samuel 15:22

...To obey is better than sacrifice…

John 14:23

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. To fear and worry is disobedience and demonstrated lack of faith in the willingness and/or ability of our Father to provide.. and that is sin.

6- RESULTS

John 15:10

If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. (Jesus speaking).

Your tree will be filled with good fruit; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control.

There is JOY IN FOLLOWING JESUS EVERY DAY!

CALL TO CHILD-LIKE FAITH AND OBEDIENCE

If you are not full of joy... bubbling over, your peace is disturbed, your patience is slipping and it is hard to always be kind and gentle, and your self-control is weakening and maybe you are even thinking of being less faithful, and maybe slipping away... BEWARE! DANGER!

Luke 3:9

The ax is already at the root of the tree and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. We are obedient and take Christ on HIS TERMS. We do not allow Christ into

our hearts on our terms... Christ will only dwell in us and express His power, on His terms. We can, and often do bind Him in our own life.

Matthew 7:17-18

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

Luke 6:44-49

Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thorn-bushes, or grapes from briers. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?

As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete." I challenge you now... if you do not have a tree full of God’s fruit, make it right. NOW!

Trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey.
