The minimum age for admission is 62 for head of household or those under 62 with mobility impairment needing special features in the unit. Residents must be in reasonable good health and able to comply with the terms of the lease agreement. Supervisory care services are not available through the project. Residents must meet income guidelines for subsidized rent. Applications will be placed on a waiting list based on date application is received.
There are 82 units - 16 studio - 65 one bedroom, and 1 one bedroom manager. There are nine specially accessible designed units. All units include carpet, blinds, range, refrigerator, and garbage disposal. Each apartment has a manual control for regulating air conditioning and heat. Each apartment is equipped with a bath, kitchen, and living room/dining area. There is a laundry facility on each floor. The residence is a five-story building and elevators are available for resident's use.
The tenants pay approximately 30% of their income for rent. HUD subsidizes the rent cost for those certified eligible for the program. Minimum rent required $25 per month.
There is no meal service available on this site. Each apartment is equipped with a full kitchen.
There is a multi-purpose room available for special activities. Other activities are available through the local Salvation Army located adjacent to the Silvercrest building.
